My grandfather was Thomas Abel Winder, DOB - 30 Jan. 1859, and his death certificate indicates he was born in York Co., VA His father (my gg grandfather) was Abel Winder and the 1850 Warwick Co., VA census states his place of birth as Accomac Co., VA. I have found Abel Winder listed in the following census records: 1880 Norfolk Co., VA and 1870 Nansemond Co., VA. I have the marriage record of Thomas Abel Winder to Mollie E. Toler on 05 May 1892 in Pasquotank Co., NC and at that time Abel Winder was living in Norfolk, VA. Other than my grandfather's immediate family, I have very little information and have reached a roadblock. My grandfather's death certificate, as well as his marriage record, indicates Abel as his father, and I have only found Abel on the above census records. I will appreciate any help.
