- Family of John Walker Phillips and first wife, Martha Finch
John Walker Phillips was the son of Thomas Stewart Phillips and Mary Walker. He was born Feb. 12, 1818 and died Jan. 7, 1900 in Crittenden County, Ky. He married first to Martha Finch, daughter of Joshua Finch and Lucy Brown. Martha was born April 1, 1820 in Giles, TN. and died March 12, 1864 in Crittenden County,KY. Both are buried at McKinley Cemetery, Crittenden Co. KY. Their children were as follows:
1.Henry Thomas Phillips born Aug. 6, 1842 in Illinois died-Oct. 3, 1865.Spouse: Louisa Gill Marriage date-Sept. 28, 1862.
2.Mary Brown Phillips-born July 19, 1844 in Illinois, died-Aug. 18, 1918 Union Co. KY. Buried McKinley Cemetery, Crittenden Co. KY. Spouse-Vincent B. Brantley, son of Malachi Brantley and Unicey Marvel. Vincent born 1833 died April 29, 1873. Marriage Date-Jan. 7, 1866.
3.William F.Phillips-born Feb. 20, 1847 in KY. died-unknown. Spouse-Nancy Jane Crider, daughter of Daniel W. Crider and Mary Elizabeth McElroy. Marriage-May 7, 1868. Married second: Elizabeth Dillard.
4.Francis N. Phillips-born Nov. 11, 1848 died July 4, 1849. Burial-Weston Cemetery, Crittenden Co. KY.
5.Daniel J. Phillips-born Aug. 9, 1850 died Aug. 15, 1850. Burial-Weston Cemetery, Crittenden Co. KY.
6.Pernecia A. Phillips-born April 28, 1852 died-unknown Burial-unknown .Spouses: Alan Vaughan & Samuel Long.
7.Tabitha Stewart Phillips-born Aug. 16, 1854 died 1895 Crittenden Co. KY. Spouse-Philip T. Winders,son of Timothy Winders and Orphy Marvel. Marriage date- April 28, 1874.
8.Lynn Boyd Phillips-born KY. Nov. 12, 1956 died Nov. 22, 1929. Spouse-Mary Corilla Davis, daughter of Anderson Davis and Narcissus Campbell. Marriage Date-March 3, 1881 Crittenden Co. KY. Burial-Rosebud Cemetery, Crittenden Co. KY.
9.Martha Areane Phillips- born: KY. March 19, 1859 died April 21, 1914 Spouse-Robert Henry Brantley, son of Greenberry and Matilda Brantley. Marriage Date- Oct. 16, 1880 Crittenden Co. KY. Burial: King Cemetery, Crittenden Co. KY.

Family of John Walker Phillips and second wife, Pricea Kemp
John Walker Phillips and Nancy Pricea Kemp married May 24, 1864. Pricea, or "Pricie", as she was known, was born May 11, 1832 and was the daughter of John Kemp and Mary Shelby. Nancy Pricea Kemp's burial place is unknown. Their children were, as follows:
1.Robert Lee (known as Bob Lee)Phillips-born Feb. 18, 1865 died October 6, 1950 Alton, IL. Spouse-Fannie Malinda McKinley, daughter of John Raymond McKinley and Rebecca Marvel. Fannie born Jan. 21, 1866 died March 16, 1942. Burial-Rosebud Cemetery, Crittenden Co. KY.
2.Edgar Walker (Ed) Phillips-born Dec. 25, 1866 died October 1, 1904. Spouse-Mary Malissa Samuels, daughter of James C. Samuels and Mary Jane O'Neal. Mary Malissa born Jan. 24, 1869 died Aug. 5, 1935. Both buried Duncan Cemetery, Crittenden Co. KY.
3. Sarah Tate Phillips-born Jan. 14, 1869 died 1949. Spouse-Thomas J. McKinley, born 1865 died 1952. Both buried: Rosebud Cemetery. Crittenden Co. KY.
4.Lucy T. A. (Temperence Ann) Phillips- born July 13, 1871 death:unknown . Spouse: Thomas Winn.
5.Pricea Delilah Phillips- born July 3, 1873 died July 15, 1913, burial: Missouri. Spouse-Enoch Ransom Robertson, born Jan. 26, 1870 died April 4, 1963. Enoch was the son of John Robertson and Mary Brantley. Marriage Date: Feb. 5, 1889 Crittenden Co.KY.
6.Martha Lillian Phillips-born May 29, 1877 died 1938. Spouse-John Frank (Hawkins) Crowell. Marriage Date: Aug. 31, 1898 Crittenden Co. Ky. John Frank Hawkins Crowell born 1880 died 1974. He was the son of James Edward Crowell and Susana Joanna Crider. Both buried at Tosh Cemetery, Crittenden Co. KY.

Pricea Kemp, shown on your website.
You show on your website that John Marshall Phillips was married to Martha
Finch, and their daughter is Tabitha Phillips. That is not correct. Martha
Finch was the first wife of John WALKER Phillips, and John Walker Phillips
is the father of Tabitha, not John Marshall Phillips.
I thought I'd clear that up for you.
