Sent: Tuesday, May 18, 2004 5:01 AM Subject: Harman/Carter [snip] I am a direct descendant of John Henry Carter, Jr. who m'd Martha Elizabeth Harman. Before living in Indiana, John lived in Kent Co. Del where he was born June 15, 1834. His Father was John Henry Carter Sr. who was born (also Kent Co.) in about 1806 and married Rachael Jarvis there. They had a daughter Susan who was either John's twin, or born a year before him (depending on which of the two entries in the 1850 Boone Co. Indiana census you believe!) Don't know anything about John Henry Sr. after 1856 when he died, or any of the rest of the family, such as what happened to Susan, or if Rachael remarried after John died. [snip] [2]
