 | obituary - MRS. ANNA MARY WINDERS, 83, of 24 Maple St., Smithsburg, died in Colton Manor Nursing Home Sunday morning following a lengthy illness.
She was the widow of George Eugene Winders.
She was born in Smithsburg, the daughter of the late George H. and Anna Smith Shank.
She was a member of St. Peter's (Beard) Lutheran Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. J. Marlene McCleaf, and one son, Billy F. Winders, both of Smithsburg; one sister, Mrs. Mayme Stoner of Hagerstown; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in St. Peter's Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Donald Warrenfeltz officiating. Burial will be in the Smithsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro until noon Tuesday and at the church one hour prior to service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight.
The family request that flowers be omitted. Contributions may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
