  According to John H Winder: «u»«b»Basil B. Winders «/u»«/b» was born 23 December 1893 in Highland Township, Tama County, Iowa , grew up there, and married Gladys H. Kellogg on 2 Aug 1916 in Tama County. The couple farmed in the area of Tama, Iowa until 1945, when they retired and moved to Montour. Basil died in Montour on 26 February 1978; Gladys survived him and lived until 3 November 1996. The couple had three daughters. [2]
